To say that Maya and Max loved kindergarten would be an understatement.  They made wonderful friends and had a kind, compassionate and talented teacher.  We couldn't have been happier.  

I loved seeing the kids walk out of class each day.

 Their end of school field trip was to a farm....

While Maya and Max were in kindergarten I organized an art class.  Each week we would have about 8 five year olds come over for two hours.   We would eat lunch, learn about a famous artist and then create our own masterpieces.

The kids became good friends and I loved seeing their creations.

For our last class we went to the Utah Museum of Fine Arts at the University of Utah. 

The kids tired to position their bodies like the statues.....

They danced in the open reception room.....

Most importantly Max and Maya made great friends.

Sweet baby Ruby.  This is my sister Laura's story to tell, but I was lucky enough to have a small part in her arrival.

Laura wasn't sure she wanted anyone other than Tom at her delivery, but after hours of labor and not progressing much Tom called and said he needed reinforcements.  It was so special to be able to be there with Laura.  I felt like a powerful moment of sisterhood and womanhood.
Laura was strong and brave and work hard to bring this beautiful, wide eyed baby into the word.
