It took Max less than 24 hours to figure out how to climb out of Maya's bed. Thankfully, so far, Max has not gotten out of bed during a time when he should have been sleeping. He just likes to climb out after his noon time nap.
It looks like we might need to switch to toddler beds soon.

Don't do it!!! If they will stay in the cribs and not get out when they aren't supposed to...leave them there! That is one of the big regrets with babies...taking them out of the cribs too soon. If I could go back and do it all again.........
ReplyDeleteLove that you shared this story - I remember well when Ammon climbed out of his crib. He was just 18 months old and I was 7 months pregnant, it was late July (hot, hot, hot)! Can't remember exactly what I was doing, but it was afternoon and there was my sweet little Ammon next to me when he was supposed to be napping. I took him back to his bed and watched him a moment so he'd go back to sleep. He had other plans, however, as he 'showed' me how he could climb out of his crib with finesse and ease. Proud mother moment? No, not really.... I went to my room, sat down on the bed and burst into tears.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog on Melissa Spenloves blog! Yor kids are getting soooo big! Okay so about the climbing out thing, you need to check out the "crib tent" it is an actual mesh "tent" that goes over the top of the crib and you zip the kids in and out. We used it with Jaren and Sara when they were too young for a bed. They sell them at Toys R Us but I am sure you can find them on Amazon. LIFE SAVER!
