traveling

Lonnie was asked to go to Blenheim to work. The original plan was for him to work for four days and then we would have the weekend to enjoy as a family before heading back up to Auckland. The week long trip turned into 12 days. We were VERY glad that we decided to go with him. I'm much better at being a patient wife and mother when I get to see Lonnie at the end of the day.
As I mentioned before, there are a lot of things about New Zealand that make traveling with kids much easier.....so this is everything we brought with us (even including equipment for Lonnie's work).

The area was very beautiful....just a warning....lots of photos to come over the next several days. :)

Here is a map of the area where we were traveling....

  3. Check out the bright red hair!!! Yeah! I can't believe your trip turn into almost 2 weeks? I'm SO glad you and the kids were able to go with him. Hope you had a great time and bring on the "lots of photos"!

You probably don't hear about the US weather news too much down there, but last week some doozer storms came through middle Tennessee and caused some incredible flooding. Over 31 people died (20 in Nashville), fortunately while we saw some amazing water levels on our street and such, our area did not suffer from home flooding. We were very lucky. Next time we skype we'll have to catch up on stuff like that.
