The blog fairy answered my wish! The babies still woke up early this morning, but they weren't screaming by 6:30am...they were laying quietly in their cribs talking a little bit and making just the occasional yelp. Of course it is still a bit early to say that they have learned how to not cry upon waking in the morning, but at least I got me wish of waking up with out hearing crying babies in the morning and even a couple moments of snuggling before I got out of bed.
For the last two weeks we had been letting the babies fuss and cry until our "start time" of 6:30am, as long as it didn't get out of control. I guess your pediatrician was right Emily, that was all we needed to do...and of course ask the blog fairy.
That's great! Now if we could get our kids to sleep in on Saturdays we would all have it made.
ReplyDeleteMay it happen for you again tomorrow and the next.
ReplyDeleteYeah! Hopefully that feeling of bliss will hold you over until it happens again! Lets make a goal for both our families to be healthy soon so we can start switching again soon. Ian misses his buddies! (maybe first week of Feb?)
ReplyDeleteI still have to tell my eldest to "wait until the 6 turns to a 7!" before bugging me. (Of course he has already crawled into our bed by 3:00 am, so I guess it is a mute point.)
ReplyDeleteMay the blog fairy hit my home too. I'm still at the wake up for good at 4:30 stage after the other child has been up from 1 am - 4 am. Letting them cry hasn't seemed to do anything for us but wake up the other kids. AARGH. Maybe I just don't have the touch.
ReplyDeleteYeah! I'm glad they were good for you! Timmy used to cry when he woke up, but the wierdest thing...he just sits in his crib now after waking and naps and just waits for me to realize he's up. So wierd! But it is nice when I need a break.
